People from her church, First Baptist Malakoff, and across her neighborhood came to expect them at nearly every gathering. By her own count \u2014 and that of those who know her best \u2014 she\u2019s baked more than 30,000!<\/p><p>Once, she baked 2,000 cookies for a Women\u2019s Retreat alone. Now in memory care, Ellen recently moved into <a href=\"https:\/\/www.civitasseniorliving.com\/arabella-of-athens\/\">Arabella of Athens<\/a> \u2014 where her sweet legacy continues.<\/p><p>She is still spending time in the kitchen, doing what she\u2019s done most of her life. With help from fellow residents and support from her husband, Ellen baked and served some delicious treats to her new neighbors and team members.<\/p><p>While Ellen is happier than ever to continue to bake with her favorite ingredient \u2014 love \u2014 the senior living community has plans to help her give back to a greater cause. This summer, Arabella of Athens is planning to host a fundraiser for the local Alzheimer\u2019s Coalition.
