These conditions can impact:<\/p><ul><li>Memory<\/li><li>Cognitive abilities<\/li><li>Daily functioning<\/li><\/ul><p>Memory Care communities are designed to create a nurturing environment that promotes residents&#8217; overall well-being while accommodating their unique needs. Many of our Dallas area team members did not expect to be in their positions until a chance meeting. That\u2019s the beauty of a career in Assisted Living and Memory Care.<\/p><p>Erinn had previously worked in the service industry and decided to join our community in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.civitasseniorliving.com\/arabella-of-red-oak\/assisted-living-dining-program-red-oak-tx\/\">culinary department<\/a>.<\/p><p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"blog-photo alignleft wp-image-5141\" src=\"https:\/\/www.civitasseniorliving.com\/arabella-of-red-oak\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/27\/2023\/06\/red-oak-mc-coordinator-2-204x300.jpg\" alt=\"Arabella of Red Oak | MC Coordinator\" width=\"154\" height=\"226\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.civitasseniorliving.com\/arabella-of-red-oak\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/27\/2023\/06\/red-oak-mc-coordinator-2-204x300.jpg 204w, https:\/\/www.civitasseniorliving.com\/arabella-of-red-oak\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/27\/2023\/06\/red-oak-mc-coordinator-2.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 154px) 100vw, 154px\" \/>\u201cI applied for a job at Arabella of Red Oak as a cook,\u201d she says. \u201cIt paid more, but when I was walked into The Cottage by staff, I fell in love and knew it was where I belonged.\u201d<\/p><p>Erinn began her senior living career as a Med Aid and quickly became a dedicated and compassionate caregiver. Her exceptional performance led to her promotion as a Lead Med Aid within a year. Two months later, \u201cI applied for and was promoted to Memory Care Activities Coordinator.\u201d<\/p><p>Erinn joined Arabella of Red Oak as our MCC in June 2022. Her commitment to improving the lives of residents shines through in all she does.<\/p><h2>Why Pursue a Career in Memory Care?<\/h2><p>As the baby boomer population ages, the need for senior care workers, particularly in Memory Care, is rapidly increasing.
