More than 130 Texas Christian University nursing students traded textbooks for bingo cards and shadowing shifts at a Fort Worth senior living community.<\/p>

A Hands-On Introduction to Senior Living<\/h2>

The Grandview of Chisholm Trail<\/a> hosted an entire cohort of TCU School of Nursing students for assisted living clinical rounds. Students attended activities, shared lunch with residents, and shadowed team members across the community.<\/p>

The clinical rounds gave future nurses a ground-level view of working in senior living, from daily programming to one-on-one time with residents. The partnership also opened a window into a career path many students had not previously considered.<\/p>

Nursing students moved beyond textbook learning and into real interactions with older adults. They asked questions, listened to life stories, and saw how team members support residents across both assisted living and memory care.<\/p>
