It began with a shared vision: a space where learning, care, and real-world experience come together to reshape dementia support. The Ridglea Senior Living<\/a>, a leader in assisted living and memory care in Fort Worth, is bringing that vision to life through a new partnership with Dr. Michelle Kimzey’s Dementia in the Community<\/em> course at Texas Christian University (TCU).<\/p>

Five TCU students joined The Ridglea\u2019s team weekly to work directly with residents in The Cottage<\/a>. Through this collaboration, students brought their energy, specialized dementia training, and fresh perspectives while observing firsthand the high-quality, personalized care the senior living community provides.<\/p>

The partnership goes beyond standard academic engagement. Dr. Kimzey, who leads the campus organization Students for a Dementia Friendly TCU<\/em>, brings her mission of raising awareness, combating stigma, and promoting inclusivity to the program. Her approach matches The Ridglea’s goal of creating enriching experiences for every resident.<\/p>
