Wimberley Senior Receives Surprise ‘Greatest Neighbor’ Award

A special neighbor at Alexis Pointe, Mr. Jack R., received a surprise award during the community’s usual happy hour from 4 to 5 p.m. on Friday, September 30 at 14390 Ranch Road 12, Wimberley, Texas 78676.

The Wimberley Mayor, Gina Fulkerson, was in attendance. The GOAT, Greatest of All Time, trophy, was specially made for Jack. He also received a ‘Great Neighbor’ trucker hat and a hula girl figure for his golf cart.

“Jack gives so much to others all of the time. We want to show our appreciation for him,” shares Community Relations Director, Katy Starr.

He gives them rides to their appointments, helps them in their homes, and is a regular meal delivery volunteer for the ladies in independent living who can’t make it to the dining room.

He also attends Katy’s music shows at Wimberley Square to support her. Jack is also one of the first to welcome new residents. He is known for his smile and his friendly, laid-back attitude.

One of the housekeepers at the community, Brigitte, collected thank yous from the independent living residents about what Jack has done for them. These notes were presented at the party.

 

Alexis Pointe is a community of special people like Jack.
