Elk Creek marked its official entry into the Burleson Area Chamber of Commerce with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in June 2025 that brought together business professionals and community members alike. Fourteen Chamber Ambassadors arrived ready to connect and enjoy some well-deserved charcuterie and iced tea.
Among the guests were familiar names like Rich Hooper from The Journey, Amanda Cadenhead of the Burleson Public Library, Greg Williams from Schooley Mitchell, Terrie Goodloe of Service First Mortgage, and Ruth Moor, representing Gonzo Strategies. Together, they welcomed Elk Creek into the Chamber and explored ways to team up in support of Burleson’s community.

Between bites and sips, the conversations turned to how these local businesses could lend a hand to Elk Creek, whether that’s volunteering, donating prizes for bingo games, or spreading the word about what the community offers.
“We welcomed the Chamber with a ribbon, but what really matters is the people behind it,” said Theresa Thomas, Executive Director of Elk Creek Assisted Living and Memory Care. “Getting to meet so many local business leaders was a great way to start our Chamber journey. We’re excited to build friendships that make a difference for seniors in Burleson.”
Already, Elk Creek has seen volunteers sign up and new connections forming, all thanks to this first step.
