Longview Resident Surprised with VIP Gospel Concert Experience

Table of Contents

A Wish Years in the Making

For years, Doris M. had listened to the Gaither Vocal Band, finding comfort and joy in their music. While their songs were a regular part of her life, seeing them perform live had always remained out of reach.

That changed when team members at Arabella of Longview planned a special surprise to turn that long-held wish into reality.

Doris M. from Arabella of Longview was surprised with VIP tickets to see her favorite gospel group, Gaither Vocal Band, live in Longview, TX.

A Surprise Worth Keeping Quiet

On March 21, 2026, Doris was surprised with VIP tickets to see the Gaither Vocal Band perform live at Macedonia Baptist Church in Longview.

The event, scheduled for 6 p.m., had been carefully planned by the community team, who kept the entire experience a secret to make the moment even more meaningful. Doris attended the concert alongside team members who helped bring the surprise together.

“Doris has always wanted to see the Gaithers perform live, and we were able to get her VIP tickets for the concert,” said Paula Matthews, Independent Living Activities Director at Arabella of Longview. “She had no idea this was happening, so it was a big surprise.”
