Elmer is a local legend in Round Rock, Texas. He lives in our senior retirement community, which is right in the same town. We thought he deserved to be honored for his years of community service.

Elmer’s Miracle Moment: Drive Around Round Rock
On November 22, Double Creek Senior Living in Round Rock treated their beloved resident, Elmer, to a Miracle Moment. To his surprise, Elmer was picked up at the community at 2:30 p.m. for a special ride with the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office. We can’t tell you what they talked about or where they stopped, but this retired senior was all smiles when he entered and exited the vehicle.
Elmer’s family and friends waited for him and warmly welcomed him when he returned to our community. After that, everyone gathered for refreshments and camaraderie.

This event was all about celebrating Elmer’s contributions to the community, recognizing his past role in the sheriff’s department and his days as a no-nonsense school attendance officer in Illinois. The centerpiece of the celebration was the drive with the Williamson County Sheriff, with Elmer enjoying every second of the ride.
