Football season kicked off early for seniors in Round Rock, TX, as Double Creek Assisted Living and Memory Care transformed its courtyard into a full-blown college tailgate to celebrate the start of fall.
Residents, families, and neighbors gathered around a 20-foot inflatable screen to cheer on their favorite teams while enjoying game-day classics from local sponsors.
Double Creek’s culinary team served sliders and nachos, New Century Hospice brought hot dogs, and Halcyon Home delivered cookies and lemonade. Choice Home Health provided soda and root beer floats, and PAM Health Rehabilitation shared beer buckets, sports drinks, water, and mocktails.
The entire community was decorated with college-themed décor, creating a festive atmosphere that energized everyone in attendance. Even more special was that their sports-themed party received a shout-out on local news station, KVUE.
“Our residents are some of the most dedicated and long-time fans you’ll ever meet, and football season has always been a big part of their lives,” said Mimi Nguyen, Activities Director. “Bringing everyone together to share that passion makes this game day one for the books.”
