An afternoon at Ledgestone Senior Living turned rowdy when Austin-based musician Guy Forsyth and the 78 Specials took over the community. Residents packed the building’s hall – and even danced – to the live performance of blues, folk, and Americana music.
Guy Forsyth, a longtime figure in the Texas music scene, is a three-time Austin Music Award recipient and a founding member of the Asylum Street Spankers. Known for his work as a singer, songwriter, and guitarist, Forsyth has performed across the country for decades. His band, 78 Specials, joined him for the full afternoon jam session.
The concert was part of Ledgestone’s ongoing programming for residents, aimed at bringing a variety of experiences into daily life.
