Eileen B. is feeling better than ever after a successful stroke recovery with the help of Select Rehabilitation at Arabella of Red Oak.

Eileen B. is one of many seniors who has become more vigorous and active after moving into Arabella of Red Oak. The senior moved into assisted living after suffering a significant stroke in February of 2022.

Immediately after becoming a resident, Eileen focused on her recovery and therapy. Through Arabella of Red Oak’s on-site partner, Select Rehabilitation, she was on the fast track to healing.

In September, after just a few months of intensive therapy, Eileen transitioned to independent living. Before her stroke, she worked as a Master Librarian at Baylor University, dedicating her career to education and research. Now, her recovery serves as an example for older adults and seniors who are navigating similar health challenges.

“Eileen’s progress is a reminder that recovery doesn’t have a deadline — it’s about the path you take and the steps you’re willing to take to keep moving forward,” said Amanda Barron, Executive Director. “Her story could inspire anyone facing a challenge to keep going, no matter what.”
