Red Oak Seniors Celebrate First Anniversary of “Grand Baby Project”

Table of Contents

Arabella of Red Oak recently celebrated the one-year anniversary of our collaboration with the Grand Baby Project in late October.

The program provides memory care residents with realistic therapy dolls, helping them experience positive connections.

To mark the occasion, residents and families gathered to honor the program’s grandbabies with a birthday party.

The Grand Baby Project matches therapy dolls with residents to support social interactions.

Over the past year, these connections have created bonds that enrich residents’ lives.

Community Relations Director, Fatima Wilson, noted that Arabella may be the first in Ellis County to recognize this milestone. The gathering let residents, families, and team members reflect on the program’s achievements and anticipate its continued growth.

“The Grand Baby Project has become a cornerstone of our community,” said Amanda Barron, Executive Director of Arabella of Red Oak. “We’ve seen its benefits in the lives of our residents and look forward to more years of connection.”
