A Love Story That Shows Up Every Day

Every evening at 7 p.m., Carmelita V. walks from her apartment at Arabella of Red Oak to The Cottage, the community’s memory care neighborhood, to help her husband get ready for bed. More importantly, she reminds him that he is still the love of her life.

The couple moved to Arabella of Red Oak in April 2023 after Jerry V.’s Parkinson’s disease progressed and daily life at home became more difficult. While the transition came with challenges, it also brought the support and structure they needed.
