Table of Contents

Residents and team members at Arabella of Red Oak recently gathered to celebrate Joyce, who has called our community home for nearly two years. Joyce was surprised with a special Miracle Moment: a reunion with the Dallas Tap Dazzlers, the dance group she once performed with.

The performance brought smiles to everyone in the room and quickly reached thousands online, earning over 91,000 likes and spreading joy across social media.

At Arabella of Red Oak, Miracle Moments are our way of honoring each resident’s unique story and celebrating the experiences that make them who they are. By helping residents reconnect with meaningful parts of their past, we create opportunities for joy and connection throughout our community.

Joyce’s love for dance began when she was just three years old. By 16, she was already teaching at the same studio where she trained. When her instructor moved to New York, Joyce took over the studio, teaching tap, ballet, jazz, and ballroom for 15 years while raising her three children. Her dedication to dance has touched the lives of many along the way. Earlier in her life, Joyce even helped launch a dance program at her Catholic school by teaching the sisters themselves, giving students the chance to experience dance for the first time.
