How The Ridglea Is A “Community’s Community”

Table of Contents

The Ridglea Senior Living is tucked away within a quiet Fort Worth neighborhood, offering a scenic setting for those living out their best years of retirement. But during the weekday, it’s a bustling center for business professionals and local leaders — where ideas are born and visions come to fruition. Indeed, it is a “community’s community.”

The Ridglea’s team has worked to create a learning environment for those who meet routinely in their halls – The Benbrook Area Chamber of Commerce, the Tarrant Area Gerontological Society (TAGS), and local attorneys, realtors, and veterans, to name a few.

Every November, The Ridglea gives back to all the local case managers and social workers who visit the community through its annual Turkey Trot. Earlier in 2025, the Forged Men’s Ministry met for breakfast, networked with other health care professionals, and embarked on a tour, a similar visit to many others from local groups over the years.

Step into The Ridglea on any given day, and you’ll likely see a variety of people and groups meeting to network and build community together.

Why does the community focus so intently on inviting people to enter its doors? Its residents are even rooted in the area’s growth and leadership. Just take a brief walk down the hallways, and you’ll likely recognize the names of the business leaders and benefactors who helped develop the area many decades ago.

Beloved librarian Ginny B. and respected Pastor Charles H. are just a couple residents who have made an impact excelling at their every day job. Becky S. is a well-known realtor and Lewis K. retired from an accomplished career at General Dynamics/Lockheed Martin.

“At The Ridglea, we believe in creating a community built on connections and collaboration,” said Stephanie Williams, Executive Director. “By welcoming local professionals, organizations, and leaders into our space, we honor the legacy of our residents—many of whom played pivotal roles in shaping Fort Worth—and continue fostering growth and innovation in our neighborhood. Together, we’re creating a true ‘community’s community.'”
