“The Golden Bachelor” Comes to Life: Therapy Dog Brings Rose Ceremony to Red Oak Senior Living

Therapy Dog Brings Smiles to Seniors | Arabella of Red Oak
Residents at Arabella of Red Oak share happy moments with therapy dog Gabe during a Golden Bachelor–themed visit.

Residents at Arabella of Red Oak recently welcomed their very own Golden Bachelor — Gabe the therapy dog from Heart of Texas Pet Therapy. Inspired by the popular ABC show “The Golden Bachelor,” this lovable pup brought his own rose ceremony to the senior living community, visiting with roses at the ready and moving from resident to resident to share special moments with each person.

These themed gatherings with Gabe offer a fresh way for residents to interact with their furry friend. Instead of elimination rounds like in the popular program, everyone received their own rose and individual attention from the Arabella Puppy Bachelor.

“Gabe always brings a positive experience to our community,” said Fatima Wilson, Community Relations Director at Arabella of Red Oak. “We’re grateful to know him and the organization he is a part of!”

The visit gave residents another reason to smile and stay connected with both their neighbors and their four-legged friends. And unlike the television show, there’s no heartbreak here—only happiness and affection.
