Azle Senior Community Celebrates Moms with Touching Photoshoot

Table of Contents

Legacy Oaks of Azle spread joy and captured precious moments this Mother’s Day with a special photoshoot organized by its Independent Living Activities Director, Katie Davis.

In a heartwarming display of love and care, Katie transformed a corner of Legacy Oaks into a delightful photo booth. Residents were treated to professional hair and makeup services and provided with an array of props to enhance their portraits. For many of these residents, indulging in such pampering and having solo photographs taken was a rare and cherished experience.

“Many of these remarkable women don’t often get to have their professional photos taken,” shared Nichol Wesson, Legacy Oaks of Azle’s Executive Director. “Katie’s passion for enriching our residents’ lives shines through her thoughtful gestures. This photoshoot was about celebrating our residents and creating lasting memories.”

The response from residents was overwhelming, with many eagerly participating. The inclusive atmosphere even inspired staff members to join in, which created a sense of community and togetherness.

“We’re thrilled to see the smiles and laughter this event has brought to our residents, and we were happy to honor them for Mother’s Day weekend,” Nichol added. “It’s moments like these that truly embody the spirit of our community—warmth, compassion, and the celebration of life.”
