Hats, Colors, and a Splash of Fall Fun

At Legacy Oaks of Azle in Azle, TX, residents joined FCCLA high school students for a creative craft session, making Halloween and autumn-themed hats. Residents selected colors, patterns, and decorations to design hats that reflected their personalities, while students offered ideas and hands-on guidance to bring each project to life.
Each hat had its own character, from spooky touches to playful fall designs. Residents enjoyed experimenting with ribbons, feathers, and sequins, finding new ways to express themselves. The students’ energy kept the activity interactive and creative, inspiring everyone at the table.
“It was great to see residents diving into the activity and adding their own touches,” shares Nichol Wesson, Executive Director of Legacy Oaks of Azle. “The students’ energy brought a fun, interactive twist to a simple craft, and the residents’ creations really brought the fall spirit to life.”
By the end, residents were left with colorful, one-of-a-kind hats and stories behind every design. The session celebrated creativity and the enjoyment of learning and sharing with others.
