Cibolo Senior Community Hosts Exhibit Featuring Local Artist

Table of Contents

The Brooks of Cibolo, our senior living community, recently held an art exhibit featuring local watercolor artist Shirley Hammett in December 2024.

The exhibit showcased a selection of Shirley’s pieces, many of which have gained recognition in the area and can be found online.

Shirley, a well-known local artist, has a long history of creating watercolor artwork that has been admired by the Cibolo community and beyond. Her exhibit provided an opportunity for residents, guests, and local dignitaries — including the mayor — to experience her art up close.

In addition to viewing Shirley’s work, attendees enjoyed cocktails and canapés as they celebrated her artistic contributions.

They had the chance to meet Shirley and discuss her creative process.

“We are proud to support local artists like Shirley and provide a space for the community to appreciate her work,” said Sandra LeBlanc, Senior Executive Director of The Brooks of Cibolo. “Art is an important way for individuals to express themselves, and we are excited to be part of this celebration of creativity and community.”
