A Senior’s Musical Miracle Moment: Elvis Was in the House!

Table of Contents

Music for seniors can be therapeutic and fun at the same time. As a perfect example, The Hamptons Senior Living cranked up the volume for a beloved resident as part of her Miracle Moment. On January 4, 2024, the senior living community came alive with the spirit of The King, paying homage to Ms. Jance H.’s lifelong passion for the iconic rock ‘n’ roll legend. Our team members just had to celebrate Janice and her love for The King!

Well, it’s one for the money, two for the show, three to get ready, now go, Janice, go! Here’s our beloved Janice with Elvis.

She’s A Die-Hard Elvis Fan

Janice is never shy about telling her friends her love for everything Elvis. She has many Elvis accessories, clothes, and a blanket she sleeps with every night. Janice will gladly admit to being a die-hard fan, and we know she isn’t the only one among our residents who feels this way. When our team thought about how to turn this fun fact into a swinging event, preparations were quickly prepared and finalized. As a result, there was quite a turnout for our surprise guest: Elvis himself!

We got Janice an Elvis impersonator!

The highlight of the celebration was a mesmerizing performance by Elvis impersonator Josh Davis, who serenaded Janice with four of her all-time favorite Elvis tunes:

  • “Lord Can Move a Mountain”
  • “Blue Christmas”
  • “Heartbreak Hotel”
  • “Always on My Mind”

Adding to the festivities, our Chef Daniel Shannon whipped up a feast fit for rock ‘n’ roll royalty, featuring a selection of Elvis Presley’s favorite foods.

It Was a Rockin’ Good Time

“We were thrilled to roll out the red carpet for Janice, one of our cherished residents and the ultimate Elvis Presley enthusiast at The Hamptons Senior Living,” said Sara Teichgraeber, the Activities Director. “We had a rockin’ good time at this Miracle Moment just for her! Our commitment to making lives brighter and more fun took center stage, and we invited everyone to experience the joy of this celebration.”

This Musical Miracle Moment Was Cause for Celebration

Our Miracle Moments are highly anticipated and we can’t wait until the next one. Each quarter, a resident is chosen to be honored through a special event that revolves around their passion, hobbies, or careers. We’ve hosted many Miracle Moments, and our residents and team members look forward to them with great anticipation.
