Cibolo Senior Community Hosts Surprise Celebration for Residents’ 70th Wedding Anniversary

The Brooks of Cibolo hosted a heartwarming surprise celebration in honor of Laverne and Melford G., beloved residents of our community, on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, in The Brooks of Cibolo dining room.

This milestone event, the 70th wedding anniversary of the cherished couple Laverne and Melford, was celebrated as a gesture of love and appreciation. The community, along with its residents and staff, was actively involved in planning an unforgettable surprise party to commemorate this remarkable occasion.

The celebration’s highlight was undoubtedly the reunion with their family, including the Maid of Honor at their wedding, Loretta, making this surprise even more special for Laverne and Melford. The event was a joyous occasion filled with laughter, tears of happiness, and heartfelt memories.

“Laverne and Melford are an adorable couple who embody the essence of enduring love and commitment,” said Sandra LeBlanc, Senior Executive Director of The Brooks of Cibolo. “We are honored to have them as part of our community, and it brings us immense joy to celebrate this incredible milestone in their lives.”
