Pumpkin Painting and Songs | Midtowne and Legacy Oaks
Residents at Legacy Oaks of Midlothian and Midtowne Assisted Living and Memory Care enjoy a colorful morning of pumpkin painting with local kids, celebrating creativity and intergenerational fun in Midlothian, TX.

Paintbrushes, pumpkins, and plenty of smiles turned an ordinary morning into a colorful celebration at Midtowne Assisted Living and Memory Care and Legacy Oaks of Midlothian. Residents welcomed children from Renovation Church for a cheerful mix of painting and music that energized and brought laughter to both communities.

Residents had already dressed up their pumpkins for fall, but the young visitors brought an extra splash of creativity. With steady hands and bright paints, the children added new colors and designs to the displays, transforming the art tables into a lively scene. Between songs and brushstrokes, residents shared stories, admired the kids’ artwork, and joined in on familiar tunes that filled the room with lighthearted fun.

“It was so fun watching the kids paint and sing with our residents,” said Jennifer Brogan, Executive Director for Midtowne Assisted Living and Memory Care. “These kinds of visits remind us how meaningful time spent across generations can be.”

Justin Anderson, Executive Director at Legacy Oaks of Midlothian, shared, “Our residents light up when the children visit. Their creativity and energy make the whole community come alive.”

Photos and videos from the day capture the bright colors and smiling faces that defined the morning. The visit reflected both communities’ ongoing efforts to connect residents with their local Midlothian neighbors and create moments of joy through shared creativity.
