Chief experience Officer
Amy Vittitow
Amy Vittitow is the Chief Experience Officer of Civitas Senior Living, where she leads the company’s vision for creating exceptional experiences for residents, families, and team members. As a co-founder of Civitas and a senior living leader with nearly two decades of experience, Amy has helped shape one of the industry’s most recognized culture-driven organizations.
Amy believes exceptional experiences don’t happen by chance—they are intentionally designed. She leads Civitas’ enterprise-wide experience strategy, partnering across operations, people, marketing, wellness, and community teams to strengthen culture, elevate hospitality, and create meaningful moments that enrich the lives of residents, families, and employees. Her work focuses on building systems, leadership practices, and customer experience strategies that empower teams to consistently deliver extraordinary experiences.
Before stepping into her current role, Amy served as Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, where she built Civitas’ sales and marketing organization from the ground up. She developed the company’s sales processes, marketing strategy, branding, lead management systems, and training programs while helping scale the organization from a startup into one of the nation’s fastest-growing senior living management companies. Amy launched Sales & Marketing University, implemented customer journey strategies, and led initiatives that drove occupancy growth, strengthened the Civitas brand, and created a consistent sales culture across the organization. Her background in sales, marketing, and customer engagement continues to shape her philosophy that every interaction—whether with a prospective resident, family member, employee, or business partner—is an opportunity to build trust and create lasting relationships.
Amy entered the senior living industry in 2007 after discovering a passion for serving older adults and their families. Since co-founding Civitas in 2012, she has remained committed to redefining the aging experience by creating communities where people feel connected, valued, and inspired to live with purpose.
Known as a creative strategist and culture builder, Amy is passionate about helping organizations create environments where people love to work, residents thrive, and meaningful experiences become a competitive advantage. She enjoys speaking on organizational culture, customer experience, leadership, employee engagement, and innovation in senior living.
Outside of work, Amy enjoys traveling with her husband, Cooper, attending live music shows, discovering great restaurants, spending time outdoors, and embracing all things wellness—from hot yoga to strength training, long walks, and lifelong learning
