Executive Vice President of Operations

Anthony Ormsbee-Hale brings more than a decade of senior living leadership experience to his role as Executive Vice President of Operations at Civitas Senior Living. Since joining Civitas in 2018, Anthony has held leadership roles across sales, people, strategy, and operations, including Regional Director of Sales and Marketing, Vice President of People Operations, Senior Vice President of Strategic Operations, and Chief People Officer.

Anthony’s operational foundation began at the community level, where he served as both an Executive Director and Director of Sales and Marketing in assisted living and memory care communities across Texas. That experience continues to shape his leadership approach and his understanding of what drives successful communities: strong leaders, engaged teams, exceptional resident experiences, disciplined operations, and consistent performance.

As Executive Vice President of Operations, Anthony is focused on strengthening operational excellence across the Civitas portfolio, developing high-performing community and regional leaders, driving sustainable occupancy and financial performance, and building an operating model that supports the company’s continued growth.

Anthony’s leadership has been recognized with several honors, including the 2021 Texas Assisted Living Association HERO Award, recognition as a member of the Senior Housing News Future Leaders Class, and Civitas Employee of the Year in 2022. In 2024, he was named one of HR Executive Magazine’s five HR Rising Stars.

Anthony holds a Master of Business Administration from Western Governors University and a Master of Public Policy from Southern Methodist University, along with a Strategic Human Resources certificate from Cornell University. He also holds the SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) and Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) credentials.

Beyond Civitas, Anthony remains active in senior living education and industry leadership. He has served as a lead instructor for the Texas Assisted Living Association’s Assisted Living Manager Certification Course and hosts the TALATalks podcast. Outside of work, he enjoys reading, traveling, spending time with family, and life with his two beagles.
