With triple-digit temperatures baking the Dallas-Fort Worth area, residents at Harvest of Roanoke found a cooler way to stay active, bringing outdoor fun inside.

The senior living community set up an indoor cornhole game, where friendly competition and laughter bounced around the room as much as the beanbags.
For residents Susan M. (74) and Kaaren G. (83), it was their first time playing! Barbara D. (101) continues to join as the community’s centenarian, and the popular competition takes place every week. KTVT News reporter Bo Evans was invited to commentate on the fun.
“Cornhole is a game for everyone, and it’s wonderful to see residents from their 70s all the way to our centenarians joining in,” said Erika Gee, Executive Director of Harvest of Roanoke.
“Having our weekly competition featured on the news made it even more fun and reminded everyone that laughter and friendly rivalry have no age limit.”
